Buying a property or refinancing an existing one involves multiple steps and actions, we call it a home loan journey. It begins with your very first step of registration with Domium.

It involves assessing your borrowing capacity, finding the most suitable lending product, applying for pre-approval or unconditional approval, assisting you to sign loan offer documents and finally getting you settled. Whatever steps need to be taken or any issues, we will be there to support you at every step of the way from the start to finish.

How does Domium maintain transparency?

Domium is well equipped with sophisticated technology and once you are registered, you will have 24/7 access to your personalised dashboard where you can see all the information about the products you choose or recommended by the specialist, your compliance documents, approval letters or any other relevant document.

How Domium keep me updated on the progress of my journey?

Through your personalised dashboard you can have full visibility on your journey i.e., is your loan lodged, or approved, is your loan documents certified or when is your loan settling? Whenever your journey moves to the next milestone, you will receive notifications via email and text messages.

Through our platform, you also have access to every little progress which matters to you i.e. has your valuation been ordered, has your valuation come back satisfactory, has the lender’s solicitor received your signed loan documents and have they been certified etc.

Can I find out how much I can borrow? Is this borrowing more generic or close to the actual bank's calculation?

Domium has an inbuilt borrowing calculator and with your basic information about your income & expenses and assets & liabilities, it can give you an estimate on how much you can borrow approximately.

We have tried to build this borrowing calculator as per Australian lending standards where we use the assessment rates rather than actual interest rates, repayments of existing debts on assessment rates, and living expenses as per HEM (Household Expenditure Measure). However, this will never be an actual bank’s calculation, as every lender has a different lending policy on how they treat income and expenses and that can impact how much you can borrow.

Can I contact home loan specialist at any time?

Domium is built with smart technology and through your personalised dashboard you can access your lending specialist’s calendar and book a call back any time. You can also contact them via email.

How do we make sure the home loan specialist is experienced and they can assist us in finding the best solutions?

This is one the biggest financial decision in everyone’s life and we want you to be in safe hands that’s why we recruit the best of the best lending specialist with extensive experience in mortgage broking or with a banking background. Our lending specialists must go through a series of qualifying stages before they are welcomed on board.

Can Domium lending specialists assist in complex deals for self-employed customers?

All Domium lending specialists have a great experience with self-employed clients i.e., sole traders, companies, partnerships, family trusts, SPV’s etc. All our specialists are very well equipped with knowledge and skillset to handle all complex cases for self-employed customers. We will always try to find the solution for everyone whether you have lodged your tax returns and looking for a full doc loan or are busy running your business and haven’t lodged your tax returns and are looking for a low-doc home loan. Will I be paying a higher interest rate or fees because the bank is paying Domium?

The lender will not charge customers higher rates or extra fees for using Domium lending specialists. Lenders use different channels to lend money i.e., branches, online, and mortgage brokers. Domium (mortgage broker) gets paid for introducing new business and doing all the hard work that would have been done by the lender’s staff who gets paid a salary.

How Domium help me finding the conveyancer?

Having the right conveyancer on your side is essential and at Domium, we will provide you with an in-house conveyancer who will be qualified and experienced to ensure you have a smooth purchase transaction.

Our in-house conveyancer will conduct 2x reviews on your contract of sale and also carry out conveyancing work for your purchase.

What are the Domium conveyancing charges?

How many journeys I can create on my dashboard?

You can create as many journeys as you want and you can always revisit any of the journeys you created and access your data.

Is my information safe on Domium?

At Domium, client data safety is our top priority, and we have multiple checks in place to ensure all your data is safe. All your information will be saved in a high-security cloud data centre with very limited access.

How does Domium educate me about things more relevant to my journey?
